My 1979 GMC longbed

had a nitrous fed big block in her awhile ago, havent decided whats next...blower or turbo???

I am not big on LWB's but yours is sweet looking. Run turbos on that BB you'll love it.

yeah, long beds usually arent the preffered choice but i think thats what i like about her, plus they look good when theyre slammed with big tires underneath-thanks for the feedback

the rearend is a narrowed 12 bolt, spool, 33 spline starnge axles with 4.88 gears. tires are a 33x21.5 15. ill have to take some more pics of teh interior, its has a full 12 point cage, try and get some pics of that too.

i had the heads cut for the triple springs that i added after i put a big cam in it, solid roller 737 lift, sounded awesome with the 4" flowmasters. anyways, i drove the shoot out of the truck, local shows, to and from the track, etc... i took the valve covers off and noticed there were a bunch of metal shavings in the top of the head. spring pockets were cut way too deep and had actually worn through. pulled the head and noticed the pistons were chewed up also. took the whole thing apart and thats where i am now. i like the idea of keepin everything under the hood so a pair of hair dryers may be in the future. basically moral of the story becareful if your gonna run a big solid roller on the street.
