Fuel Gauge Issue
« on: February 08, 2008, 04:03:53 pm »
I've got an '85 with dual tanks and the left tank reads correctly when selected but the right one shows well past full no matter how much gas is in it.  I've read on here it may be a grounding issue but anyone want to confirm that?

Thanks

My 85 does the exact same thing and it is the ground as I have verified it.

replace the tank selector switch first (its cheap) then check grounds. My 81 does this every 3-4 years and all I do is replace the switch

You don't have to replace the switch that often,  you can clean it up first...
