delay wipers

on my 79 i just have the 2 speed wipers with the switch on the dash. i have an 86 with delay wipers on the steering column. is there any way i can swap the wiper motor and just use the 86 column? if not is there another way to get column mounted delay wipers?

You don't need them to be column mounted to have intermittent delay. example:

yeah that would work...im looking more for something where i dont have to reach to operate the wipers. but that would be alot better then the current setup

Well it's not necessarily the column you'd have to swap rather the switch and the delay module

oh i see so it has nothing to do with motor then. is the delay module in the steering column or located elsewhere?
