Just to add the R4 is radial, it's short and fat. The A6 is axial and is long and skinny.

Yeah, it's short and fat. I'm trying to locate a replacement, but everyone asks me if it's a switch type or non-switch type. I really don't know what that even means -

They must be talking about the high pressure switch. Do you have the old compressor? If you look on the back of the compressor there will be a connector sticking out of the back.

I'll check it tonight - So, if I have a connector on the back it's a switch type?

What's the part # on your existing compressor?
Look at page 220

Couldn't locate the old compressor, but it looks like it must be a switch type. The v-belt compresssors only came with a high-pressure switch if I'm reading the chart correctly.

that sounds like a blow off valve. What's the part # on the tag?

What's wrong with yours by the way? I checked with my vendor and they said they end up superceding each other anyway so just go with switch type. Here's a used ebay one

Not sure what's wrong with mine. It puked oil all over everything and stopped working back in August (when it was 95+ degrees in NC) -
I'm looking for a new one, and the non-switch type is much less expensive ($50 or so) Looks like mine does not have a switch on it, or I can't find one - The only thing I see is the valve on the back with the spring -
