no way will power motors go in the 73-76 doors (unless you hack the crap out of them) That is what the design change was for.

I'll add that the earlier window regulator were shorter too so if you had manual windows and wanted to install later door panels your window crank won't work. You can swap in the later regualtor use an aftermarket crank handle. There were a few other things that varied in doors. Some had extra bracing including for the mirrors too. Some doors had an extra weather stripping too but I never understood why

77-91 door panels will swap with no problem.  The inside tract on the door is different also on the 73-76's.  this is turning it the door differences article I have planned to write.  :D

well Captkaos i wished i knew that before lol but since i already have it painted and installed i might as well try to make it work since its going to be covered by the panel anyways. but now that im thinking about it my door panel probably wouldnt fit anyways. now that im looking more closely to the pics i have a door thats a little different than both. ill try to get a pic of it.

also a little off topic but i replaced the weatherstripping that goes inside the door that the glass goes up in and now it seems almost to tight for it to go up. i have to force it up at the end. could this be because its brand new and not broken in yet?
