1987 r20 won't start.....

1987 r20, 350 tbi, 2wd, thm400
Left the house yesterday, blew the upper radiator hose. Everything got soaked in coolant. I got the truck home, replaced the hose, filled the radiator, started it up and it ran fine for a few min. Then I shut it off to top off the coolant, started it again, and let it run for about 10 min to make sure everything was ok. I shut it off, went in the house for a few hours, and then went to go to town, and the truck won't start. It cranks over fine, and will fire on ether, but it wont start. I tried to get the trouble codes, but the check engine light won't flash- it won't even come on when you turn the key on. I checked the fuel pump, and it is pumping fuel, however the injectors aren't squirting fuel. However, they do work if you jump them to the battery. (I had a mechanic friend over, he did the complex stuff)
I'm not sure what to do next. I really need to get this fixed, as it is my daily driver. Any thoughts? (My friend suggested replaceing the ecm, and I have one ordered, but I wanted to check in here first.)

If it blew all over the engine compartment, I would check to see if anything got under the cap and rotor.... Anytype of liquid under there, would need to be dried off, before trying to start(Just like you were to wash your Engine and sprayed the Distributor, you would need to dry it off, or chances are it won't start/run like crap!)...

If your Engine light won't come on and you have no injector driver did you check the ECM & injector fuse? Did you check your fusible links? That's where you need to start.

Well, I got it fixed. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.
I changed the fuse for the ECM, which was blown, and it blew again. Tried this a couple times, no luck. So, called carquest and got an ECM. My best friend put the chips out of the old one into the new one, and then put the new ECM in the truck. It started up and runs great now.
Thanks again,
Jeff
