« on: March 19, 2008, 07:40:02 am »
Never posted my Project :) (76 Gmc C3500) I started this last summer then a family issue came up and couldnt work on it :( .
The cab needed a lot of work and as a newbie to body work I ruined the cab :(

Pat

Not sure I cut the old bed off (4 and half minute video  ;D ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lOQRoL63Q4&eurl=http://www.freewebs.com/frogman68/bedremovalvideos.htm

The donor truck has a single bed on it might "modifiy" it to be a dually or just make one out of 6X6 and 4X4's hopefully tomorrow night I can post pics of the donor truck..

nice project.  too bad you couldn't have found a K20 or a K30 for your donor truck...then you could have had a 4x4 dually...that'd have been pretty cool...

Thanks Guys I got the cab engine and tranny out and bought a sandblaster (thanks Blazin and Ville)  and a garage (tent lol) ;D

Thinking of using Herculiner to coat the frame . I got the red headed step child for a engine casting number 3970010 it shows it can be a 302 a 327 or a 350 2 or 4 bolt grrrrrrrr

I would use a rust stop paint and if you want to use hurculiner on top of that for appearance and added protection that'd work but try POR15 or chassis saver etc. It's really good frame paint.
