Trailer
« on: March 21, 2008, 12:21:15 pm »
This was a 1886 with a blown motor, lots of rust and no title.  I have a sprtz truck tent that is designed to fit in the box and an air matress designed to fit around the wheel wells and this is what we camp in at the sand dunes.  I have an air compressor in the middle tool box with an external outlet and air chuck so I can fill up my tires at the dunes with the lid closed.  It has a rear hitch that  I use a slide in hitch toolbox in the back.  I'm going to make a swing arm so the tailgate can be dropped without having to remove the toolbox.  I also have a 4"lift kit and new axle for it.  Plan on getting classic II and x-terrains and paint it blue to match the truck.  Pulles down the road like a dream and use it all the time.  I cut the frame right where it starts to go up near the transmission area.  Then I cut out the rear section of a doner frame so it was the same size steel and used 3/8" flat steel as fishplates on outside, inside, top and bottom of the but joint.

Took off my old box and used my new military box and bumper to change up my trailer some.
