GM TH375

OK a guy give me this tranny with no converter i know it worked good as it was in a truck he drove. don't know where the converter went but i need to find one so i went looking in summit and it said 350/375 and 400 are all the same so i tryed to put a 350 converter in it and it don't fit whats the deal. i know the 375 is more like the 400 so do i need a 400 converter or is it 375 only? its got a wire running out the side of it so do i need a lock up converter?

The single wire is for kickdown, on my '87 it's computer controlled.  I just removed one of these trannys last weekend you're welcome to the converter if you're close to NW Arkansas.  I don't know what you're swapping from but the length from bellhouse to tailshaft is 33 7/8...you may have to shorten the d-shaft?

cool i got a 400 converter around here someplace got to find it in my mess the 375 is going in place of the 400 i smoked in my 4 door. ill have to keep burning autos till i find time to make it 4 speed

if the 375 is 33 inchs how long is the 400 i was told the 375 is a 400 with a slip yoke so ?

I was under the impression that the TH 375 was all TH 400 with the exception of a smaller TH 350 rear output shaft/spline.
