Por-15 or Rust bullet

when i gat everything here i have ordered to do the frame and cab i want to put a good rust protector down i need some opinions what would be the best thing to use both of these products sound really good

Chassis saver is another one. The only one I've ever used is POR-15. Mainly because when I order it it take 2 days tops to get.

Rust mort is another one I believe

I use Chassis Saver. One its half the price of POR 15. Plus my store keeps them both in stock.

which one do u believe would be the best product,money is not an issue, i just hate rust and i dont want to see it come back in later years i am not familiar with bodywork and paint some of the opinions im gettin around here i dont like example,just regular primer,or dont worry bout it it is thick steel will take along time to rust, i want to do this right the first time and i dont want my son to ever worry bout this problem, so i geuss with u all experience i need to know what u all would use on ur personal projects, thanks

Im personally using chassis saver myself, but money is an issue with me.

I have had por15 stand the test of time... never seen any of the others in action over a long period of time so you'll have to see what everyone else says about the rest..

According to my local hot rod shop, POR-15 had a patent on their stuff that then ran out. ChassisSaver makes the same product but can do it cheaper since there is no more active patent to make it exclusive.

This is the stuff i used on my frame and the rear end of the stepside.Its pretty strong stuff.

POR 15 and Chassis Saver are the same stuff. Same chemical make up.
I have used both and seen them both hold up well. I top coat them most times with acrylic enamel or urethane enamel.

I have used both POR15 and Chassis Saver.  They look the same to me and I haven't had a problem with either.  The last thing I used was Chassis saver on my Crewcab floor...

so chassis saver does not chip and dries rock hard as well? if its the same i will prob go with that with what i want to do i will need alot

I got Chassis saver last time because I could get it in a pint and I needed about 1/2 a cup....

i used por-15 on my stepside short bed frame and i used a quart and that got me 3 coats on the frame and it looks awsome

PLease forgive my ignorance, I watched the gas tank refurb video series in this thread, and I see most of you guys use this to simply stop MORE rust from occuring?
WHne you do apply it to something, say your frame rails under the bed, do you go over the rusted stuff with a grinder first, then start with the etching chemicals, then the prep THEN the paint finally?  Is the end product the same "looking" finish as powdercoating?

does the grinder/wire brush, etc have to be done before doing this? the reason I ask is that my truck has like, 1% rust on it somehow, but could I still benefit if I used the etcher and the por15/ or chassis saver etc.
what shouldn't it be used on?
