Oil In Air Cleaner?

Hi I own a 1986 Chevy C20HD with the Vin M 350 and I took off the air cleaner to change my air filter, and there was like 4 OZ worth of oil in there!
Is this normal?

Forrest, Hate to be a wise guy, but yes it's normal............for a wore out engine with a bunch of blow-by. The oil is getting up in the valve covers under pressure, past the valve guides, then up through the breather hose. Sorry,
Lorne

well, you could have a plugged PCV valve. if that's clear then you might wanna check into the warranty i really hope you have...

Ok thanks I'll check that, no the warranty is gone, but it runs just fine, and it doesn't burn oil, it just bugs me lol
EDIT:
Ok The Oil is coming in from the Breather, PCV Valve looks like it could use replacement so I'll get a new one.
Could too much oil in motor cause this?

I would do a compression test and a cylinder leakdown test. When my 327 did the same thing, two pistons had broken rings on them.

Yes, make sure the oil level is correct. Replace the PCV valve and the breather element.
