heating springs?

Can i heat my front springs to lower the ride hight in stead of cuting? looking for ideas.

Cutting is the preferred method, as heating will "fatigue" the spring and affect the spring rate.

Heating springs.... How would you do it as to change the springs temper evenly upon both coils? You can't? ok Then don't do it. :P

Either cut or replace my friend.

Ok i thought it would make them were thay would brake in stead of flex.I read everythang you guy's told the other guy so i need 1.5 cut off for 3' right,what i'm think i'm going to do is put my rearend over my springs that will give just the drop i want'and ajust the front to match.thanks guy's

No, don't cut all 1.5 coils off in the beginning.  Reread the post, cut a half off an reinstall drive it and check it.  Springs settle in different ways, so what one spring will need will not be the same for another.  BTW, I personally don't recommend lowering more than 2" with springs.  If you need to go lower, get spindles and your ride want change, the general alignment shop will be able to align it also.
