4.3 v6 headers
« on: April 13, 2008, 04:58:32 pm »
I have a 86 SWB Chevy, 3/5 drop kits currently with coils and a flip kit. My manifolds are leaking so I was wanting to put a set of headers on it, I cannot find any affordable(all 400$ or more) and before I giveup and bought replacement manifolds I was going to ask if anybody on this board knew a company that made/sold a pair that would fit?(for under 300$).

You think those for the S-series will clear?  If so, I think I know where some of those are that someone has laying around.  Want me to check to see if he wants to get rid of them?

One of my former students had them on his 86 C-10 before he racked it up and I don't recall him having clearance issues... but it was 4 years ago....

If a 4.3L V6 Chevy is just a small block V8 Chevy minus two cylinders, couldn't you just get some cheap summit/jegs small block headers for a square body and modify them by cutting one tube off and welding the hole shut?

that makes me sound retarded :-[
