pix are too small to tell what kind of shape it's in but $400 bucks sounds good! I'd personally keep the stepside.

Add my vote to the keeping the stepside movement...your choice, but it looks good to me.

It a 79 Chevy K5 blazer i pickup in Truckee CA. where it spent it's winter alot the top was falling apart and as you can see theres a little rust as per my wife comment a tetanus shot is required to ride in it I'm going to try to find a donor body for it I'm also think of going full topless but not sure yet. Only mods so far are a 700R and stock rallys with 33s  per it had very bad white spoke wheels with 275/70/15s way too small i thought like the truck more to come

Those aren't dually fenders. I would have kept the step side too. Looks like a decent deal though. Thats identical to my uncles truck he had when he lived in Arizona. He moved back up here and never drove it in the winter. His mechanic snaked it out from under me. I always wanted it, when he got older his dirt bag mechanic told him it needed tons of work wasn't worth fixing, that a young kid of 16 wouldn't be able to keep it on the road blah blah blah, then offered to take it off his hands for a few bucks. Its been 22 years and I would still like to stop into his shop and give him an education. He is still driving the truck today, Loser!

Stepside beds are cool, but the fleetside bed is more practical for hauling.  I actually use the cargo bed on my truck, it isn't just for looks.

From what the pics show, that sounds like an awesome deal. No obvious signs of rust anyway.  Mmmmmm  2wd white stepside. That brings me back to memories of when I was a kid and saw the inspiration for my desire to have the truck I have today. That was a white 85-86 Chevy Silverado 2wd stepside that a young guy in my town owned. Was only a couple years old at the time. Cragar S/S mags, jacked a little in the back, smooth chrome sidepipes (the tasteful ones) and glasspacks. Had  "The Seductor" in blue script lettering below the rear window. It was awesome.
85 Chevy Silverado C10 short, wide, yellow, 2wd. Lowered, 60-over 350 with Dart Iron Eagle heads and Comp Cams XE268 cam, TH350 w/ shift kit, 3.40 Gov-lok 12 bolt.
