Splurged the other day and my new toy arrived yesterday

One of my other hobbies is music.  I have 7 stereo/AV systems around the house and garages.  They are mostly e-bay purchases but had to have a brand new one.  Just after Christmas I sold my beloved Chevelle after having it 14 years ago.  I set aside some of the profits and I found what I wanted.  Yamaha's latest 7.2 system with a built in HD tuner/Sirus and XM.  I have a laserdisc concert going of Peter Gabriel (Sledgehammer is playing) as I type this.  All I can say is wow.  Unbelievable difference over one that was a 5.1 and about the same watts/channel being 8 years older.

I know what ya mean Blazin. For the longest time I didn't even have a radio in my 74 because all I wanted to hear was the sound of my engine.

Music has been a huge part of my life, I have about 17 guitars and basses and a couple of stellar systems. I've got a 65" TV with a pretty boomin system/home theater. Now if I only spent more time in the living room I probably wouldn't have so much dust settling on it all. I should just move it all out into the garage!

I love music but never paid attention in music class so I have no clue how to play anything. I had big plans to teach myself the guitar but it never happened.

I have one of the Yamaha HTR-5860 7.1 receivers for the living room.  Love it.  Added a 500w self powered 12" subwoofer a few months ago.  Woohoo, talk about shaking the house, all my lightbulbs in the basement end up with broken filaments everytime I crank it.  Also had to replace a bunch of ceiling tiles that fell in the living room. 

I play guitar too.  Metal. 

Our garage band gets together twice a month on saturday.  Neighbors love me.

I play bass guitar and guitar. I have 3 acoustics 3 electrics and the rest are all basses. 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 strings. I also have an acoustic bass and a fretless. Sounds like we'd have one heck of a band here! Blazin since you can't play will let you sing lol

No satellite, no cable, just broadcast off a tower mounted antenna with a rotor and a booster in the attic.  I am about 60 miles as the crow flies from downtown Chicago.  We got a bunch of HD Channels, both TV and FM to choose from, almost like having cable.
