In the past I have used a cold chisel for every rivet on a frame. Swapped them all over to another frame. Took a heck of a long time but it worked! Only smashed eleven of my knuckles!

GV, The ideal & fastest method is a torch & a good air chisel, warm up head & chop. Since thats not really an option for you. The grinder will work, but your going to eat allot of grit & sparks. A GOOD air chisel will probably be easier & allot less sparks. Knock the heads off & use a pointed chisel to push out the center. Use grade 5  bolts & nuts when reinstalling the parts. Cut the bolts an 1/8" from the nut & peen over the threads so the nuts wont back off. Lorne

I agree I use grade 8 bolts for anything to do with frame or suspension.

I use a air chisel lately but have used a angle grinder a lot.  Back in the day I picked up a chisel with a hand guard so when I missed it didn't hurt so bad  ;D The one thing I don't like about the air chisel is if it gets away from you, it can leave some nasty marks on the frame.  I have drilled a ton of them too but have to sharpen the bits a lot.  I think the best way always seemed to be to drill them with 1/4" bit and then buzz them with the chisel.  I always use grade 8 also.

Sounds like fun either way. I agree with the majority on the bolt grade selection, especially for suspension.
See if you can bust 12 knuckles and beat Blazins record!
