transfercase leaking from rear seal

 brand new seal still leaks looks like it coming from where the drive shaft goes in any help

Clean up the the shaft with some emery cloth. When you replace the seal make sure you pack the lip of the seal with some petroleum jelly.

It's a fine type of sand paper for polishing metal.



Also make sure your drive line angles are correct and your output bushing is in good shape.

Plowking, Can you see/feel a groove on the yoke where the seal has been riding? How much yoke is slid into the transfer case?
