Lowering my truck

are rear shackles and hangers interchangeable between the 1/2 tons and the 3/4 ton trucks? i dont imagine they changed the frames or suspension mounting points. Im basicly looking to do a 3/4 drop "ish" on my 76 camper special.
I plan to 'modify' the coils hehehe and get new shackles plus remove some of the many leafs in my pack. the most i haul is a 600lb quad so the 14 leafs is overkill lol

Well since I got no replys in my other thread, I'll start a fresh one...
Ive got a 76 3/4 ton LWB camper special 2wd that i want to lower with 8 lug wheels. what is the difference between 1/2 ton suspension and the 3/4 ton camper specials? belltech, nor djm lists flip kits or hanger/shackels kits for the 3/4 ton.

1/2 ton 2wd was 5 lug. 3/4 ton and 1 ton were 8 lug. More heavy duty suspension, different rotors, hubs, axles, brakes and frame girth.

3/4t and 1T are close to the same. 1/2T is all on its own.

Thanks.
Im going to play around with it on wednesday. Going to remove some leafs from the rear cause I dont need an 11 pack lol. probly just need 4 mains + overload.
Plan on snipping about 1.5 coils off too set it down a little. Do you think 1.5 coils would be good for 2-3" ?? Ive done lots of suspension drops on s10's but this is my first fullsize project

There ain't no going back. Do it in 1/4 coil increments.

Start at 1/2 and install it, drive it around the block and then go 1/4 at a time if they are original springs.

I think we answered this elsewhere. In the future, just bump the original post instead of creating another new one with the same topic. Sometimes they just get overlooked.

Are they interchangeable?
Tomorrow Im going to chop 1.5 coils from my springs and remove about 7 leafs from my 11 pack. 295/50/16 radial ta's will be going on also

Look up to the original response. I merged all of these topics. There isn't a need to start another one on the same subject everytime.
AFAIK, the hangers are different and if they are, you are going to have to drill the holes for the drop shackle.

Not sure
all I did was clip the coils and gutted leafs. i'd still like to find out if the shackles and hangers are the same
