I have been working my a## off this week in the shop. I work a weekend shft 3X12's and I have 4 day's off during the week so I have plenty of time to spend it in the garage, One advantage of being divorced with no children 

I have the entire truck scuff sanded, I replaced door hinge bushings and rehung the doors. I am ready to prime the cab and then paint the door jams and firewall.

I also recieved in a pile of parts for the engine. I am ready to dissassemble the engine scrub it and final assemble the short block and as soon as my cam gets ground and sent to me I will assemble the heads. I should be able to drop it on the run stand and break it in really soon .

I still have about $10,000 more parts to buy  which includes the Procharger and intercooler. The total amount I will spend on the engine alone is $16,100. I still have quite a bit of parts for the truck as well. My plan in to get the truck painted then as I can buy the parts needed in order to proceed.

Wow, that's crazy! Nice work! With that amount of money into the motor, wouldn't that have bought a 572 crate motor? Guess it wouldn't be as fun though not building it yourself.

The dash layout, did you make the aluminum guage overlay? Looks like 1 piece, bent to fit the cluster. I want to do something similar but in black gloss plexi.

I probably could have bought a crate engine but It would of been naturally asperated , steve Morris racing engines sells a complete package but the cheapest and smallest engine is $23,000 http://www.smreperformance.com/centrifugal-supercharger-engines.html, Cubic Inches + big Horsepower = Cubic Dollars 

I have been dreaming about this engine for about 8 years even when I built my last 454 I was not satisfied until I dropped in an F2.

The dash was built back in 1994 I believe I bought the aluminum face plate from summit i think but it has been a long time ago.

Well I sent my block and heads back to the machine shop to get the reciever groves milled in the block and heads for the O-ring and get the heads assembled.

I also picked up my cam from him as well it's a solid roller custom grind from a company out of Etta MS called Custom Cams Great guy to work with and Highly recommended. My Machinist says this engine will make an easy 1000 hp at 15 lbs of boost , I plan on running about 10lbs to start and work my way up. I need to run slower than 9.99's so I do not have to change my cage out. My goal is to run mid 10's on an easy combination.

I just got the block back from the machine shop again. After talking to my machinist he advised me to O-Ring the block so I sent that and the heads down to him to get the grooves machined and assemble the heads. After I get the heads back I have all the parts needed to assemble the engine for a final time, Then measure for new length for new Push rods. Only a few hundred more then I'll be able to start it and break it in on my run stand

Man, from what I see here so far you got that in the bag!  I guess the trick will be to get that power to the ground!

Well It's been a busy last few weeks I recieved my heads back from the machin shop set up and ready to go, recieved my KRC power steering pump today and should have my intake manifold next week sometime. I finished prepping the bed and on monday afternoon got all the peices in primer and ready to mock up on the truck. Tonight after work I loaded the truck up and ran it down to the car wash to clean the frame and get it ready for paint.

I am going back white,  I still have enough paint left over from the dually project so I plan on using that up.

I'll put the wood floor back in the truck again like it used to be but this time I'll go with Oak instead of Pine. I know it's heavier but the Pine cracked really bad on me and it was too soft anytime it got dinged it showed up.
