need some suggestions guys!

My 73' 3/4 ton is gettin alot closer to being done,but the one thing i have noticed when im out driving is how the truck's suspension is handling the road,it just feels rough,you can feel everything,you almost kinda get that bouncy ride to an extent.And no its not the seat,i have nice bucket seat installed,and i know its a 3/4 ton and its not gonna ride like a caddy but i know it should be a lil better then this,im curious about what you guys would go with as far as brand of shocks,i currently have new MONROE O MATIC SHOCKS ON THERE,i thinks that the name of them,they prolly dont even have 200 miles on them but they just kinda suck,so if ya guys got any suggestions let me know,thanks

P.S.it mainly stays on the street,very lil off-road!

Describe rough. If everything is tight and correct you'll need a softer set of springs for a cushier ride. Shocks are there to put resistance to the jounce and rebound of the suspension and will not make it ride softer.

yeah it a lil rough,but maybe that where it should be as far as the ride goes,im wonderin about the bounce after,kinda like a wave effect,almost like its too soft,maybe shocks not stiff enough?for the most part what would you go with for a 3/4 ton chevy 4x4
