1977 Dually Lowering Question
« on: August 23, 2008, 09:07:41 AM »
I have a 1977 crewcab dually, that I want to lower.  I have two questions.  As far as flip kits and everything I find online they are all for 1/2 ton trucks, where do you suggest I find stuff for my 1 ton?

What is the most economical way to lower it front and rear?

I have 16" alcoa wheels, would like it to sit closer to them, I DO NOT want to have to notch the frame.  What is the most I could go and what would you recommend, flip kit/spindle? or ???

Thanks,
Timm

Have you considered bagging it?

I am just looking for the most economical route.  I would think that bagging it would be much, much more expensive...

What do you think the costs difference would be?

Check out my build that I completed this spring it's lowered  by Bell Tech spindles and I am planning on removing a bunch of rear leaf spprings and to maintain my load rating by adding air lift airbags for the rear suspension.

Here is the link to the build
