My 1976 K10
« on: September 27, 2008, 11:43:55 pm »
Here she is, sorry I don't have more.

Took the bed off and sandblasted the body getting it ready to paint.

another shot from the front.

list of things to be done:

Paint frame
New brackets for gas tank
new cross member for frame
the bed... yea it's a mess.
interior.. pretty ugly
engine.. runs fine but needs a tune up.

For now I just want to get it back on the road, then slowly take it back to original as I get the money.

I'm really digging the white bumper with the white bumper guards.  You don't see that often.

primed the framed today. going to paint it come Tuesday. Also made up a cross member for it, and fixed the automatic choke as it was causing it to idle high.

Ok sorry it took me so long to update but here is where I stand. After endless hours searching on the internet and walking through junkyards looking for a donor truck to pull a bed off of, I gave up and decided to build a wood one. This is what I came up with, let me know what you think.

My girl friend has all ready claimed the truck as hers even though she can't drive stick.  ;D

Next I plan on working on the interior, talking to some people about making a custom dash.

I Generally don't like any Stake Bed Truck under a 1Ton, but you've done an Awsome Job!!! 8)  Kinda Creepy, but is that Ichabod Crane and The Horseman at the other end of the Bridge :o :o :o :o

Looks like your Girlfriend is like my Wife!!! Sure I might maintain it, and drive it occasionally, but the Truck is actually hers.....  She just lets me think it's Mine(Looks like your a Man with Twice the Luck, Besure to treat them Both Right ;)). :-\ BTW, I wasn't aware that our truck were offered with 3 on the Tree(Column shifted manual) ???

Yep, 3 on the tree was an option.  Popular on a lot of I6's here.
