kp 4link?

I would like to put a kp 4link in my truck, but would like to use Coilover's with it instead of bags. The reason is because I would like to try and go the whole prostreet route for this truck. But I would like to be able to convert to bags if I don't like the look or get tired of it in the future. Without having to buy to many quality parts twice. Now I have no problem making/welding in mounts for the coilovers, frame notch, and a crossmember for the CO's. I'm mostly worried about how to figure out what CO'S I would need (length and stroke and such). Plus what do you guys use as a rule of thumb to determine how big of a notch for the frame to make. So if anyone has any tips I would greatly appreciate it.

I believe air ride can sell you a setup ready to go for coil overs.

You should be able to run coil overs on KPs 4 link.
As for the notch, it depends on how low you want it to be.

Andy, Not exactly what you asked about, but maybe can give you a idea or Two about lengths/heights, ect. My truck is still running leaf springs, but I have moved the shocks to a vertical position (like your coil over set-up would be) They are 12" long (about all longer you could go without the lower brackets being real low to the ground or "lumping" the bed floor) The top crossmember could be made to have the shocks up closer to the bed than mine if you need to for an 1" or so.
 One thing to keep in mind...My truck has a 2" angled body drop, so to get the rear wheelwells the same height, you would have to lower your rear suspension 2" more than I did. At the height mine is, I have about 3" between the axle housing & the frame. The tires are 28" tall. Hope this helps somehow, Lorne

Thanx alot for the help guys. I think I am going to give both airride and kp a call. In an effort to see which sounds better. I talked to Nate Porter (since he's setting me up with a dropmember) about it and he suggested calling KP. Since Chris Alston bought KP they could very well possibly set me up with almost everything I would need to make it work. So ill have to get on the horn and do some leg work to see what my options are.
