OK everyone I'm kind of new to carb jetting and rods. well what i have is a 83 Chevy with a 5.7 and a 700r4. the carb is a edelbrock 1405 what i am tring to find out is what rod or jet do i need. and any help u can give i thank u.

You're probably ok in the rod and jet area but you may have to come up with lighter springs because of the overdrive.

The edelbrock owners guide contains everything a beginner would need to tune this carb. I'd advise reading it from cover to cover. If you've lost or never had a copy heres a link for the
owner guide
(1.83MB pdf doc).

Get a tuning kit from summit. I think Edelbrock also has videos now of how to tune their carbs online... Not sure how good they are but I remember seeing them somewhere on their website.
