ok, got the choke installed, left in open position as i need to go buy a drill (thats my excuse to go buy one heheh) so i can run the cable into the cab.
as ive never owned a carbeureted vehicle that had a choke, am i correct in assuming that the truck shouldnt start with the choke completely closed?
i moved it to the position where its open a bit and it started right up, it seemed pretty pissed off, but it didnt die right away like it usually does, so its an improvement. i let it run a bit and moved the choke to the completely open position and it died, im hoping because it wasnt warmed up yet.
i kind of guessed on how to install it looking at pics on google images, when i move the choke from open to closed should the throttle open and close slightly as well?
it might be binding up on whatever that is thats underneath the open/close mechanism and not supposed to be... dunno never had a car with a choke.
