Got wheels? Looking for some ideas
« on: November 01, 2008, 07:47:32 pm »
Im currently looking for some wheel ideas for my truck. If you have some wheels on your truck that you take pride in, please post me a pic, or a link to a pic of the wheels. I am trying to see what all looks good on the 73-87.

I got a set of progressives from a neighbor who didn't want them anymore for $75. I've seen other 73-87 trucks with these wheels too, and I think they look good. They were universal.

Yes, the company is Progressive. I've never figured out what model of wheels I have, but I've heard that the company went out of business.

Nah, they go right on, I just needed different lug nuts than the ones that came with them.

So you only had to change out the rotor to go to 8 lug? I am a little confused

His truck was already an 8 lug since it was a 3/4 ton. He had to use different lugnuts in order to use the center caps that came with the rims he has. They are the factory wheels from a late model chevy

Exactly.  wheels are off of an '01 silverado 2500HD.  One of my grandad's friends bought rims for his truck so he gave me the wheels and caps.  I just had to get tires and the lug nuts.

I've got 15" Centerline ConvoPro on mine. 15x8 up front, and 15x10 out back. I like them and I've gotten compliments on them before from those who know what they are. They aren't expensive to buy new either.
