Changing Throttle Body
« on: November 07, 2008, 04:19:52 pm »
I came across a throttle body for a 350 on craigslist, and I want to buy it because I'm running a 305 TB on my 350 right now, which I believe is causing some problems. First of all, what should I look for on the TB to make sure that it's in good shape and that it's actually for a 350? Also, what years will be compatible with my '87 350 motor? Would I be better off changing the injectors or the whole TB? Details would be appreciated, so I can finish the job myself. Thanks in advance for any help.  :)

So is there any way to make sure that it's a 350 TB? And would I be better off swapping just the injectors or the whole unit?

the only real differences in 305 vs 350 TBI is the injectors.  The same basic model was used on eveything from V6 to 454's.

Wow Vile. I didn't know they cost that much. I've seen em reman'd on eBay for $350. For $40 it's a good deal.
