How do you remove the key knock-out plugs?
« on: August 13, 2011, 08:04:32 pm »
I installed a new original key cylinder with keys.  The keys have the knock-out
plugs and I'd like to remove them.  How is this done without damaging the key?

Place the knock out over the vise opening and punch it out with a hammer, and punch.
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Flat screw driver and give it whack. If you have a vice, open the jaws slightly and pop it through
