I need a measurement please.
« on: January 04, 2012, 11:29:44 am »
I am currently on deployment and I wanted to make a velocity stack for my carb and air cleaner. But I forgot to take the measurements when I was home on leave. I just need  the inside and outside diameter of the seat for the air cleaner on top of the carb. Its a 4160 holley 600 cfm. the same size that the stock quadrajet uses. So measuring either one would work for me. Thanks guys. I really appreciate anyone who will take these measurements for me. Its my deployment project. I need to raise the air cleaner because  I am going to build a ramair hood.
Go ahead hit it with a hammer. Theres only one level of broke.

I've got both!  Can take that measurement for you when I get home tonight.

Inside diameter is 5" and the outside diameter is 5-1/2".  Sorry for the day delay!

thats great. Thank you very much. And that just so happens to be the perfect size to use a section from a 5 inch shell. they taper out towards the bottom ever so slightly. So I should be able to cut a perfect peice for it.
