Intermittent Wiper Problem
« on: February 16, 2009, 07:04:32 pm »
Hmmm.  I've read the other threads.

My wipers wouldn't stop wiping when I switched to OFF and the delay only has one setting - long.  Sometimes I had to jog it to MIST and release it to get it to stop and park.

I replaced the module tonight and it still does about the same thing.  It does seem to turn off and park (sometimes) now but the delay is not working any different.   Is there a ground somewhere that might be bad?  Where would I look?

Might the switch be bad?  I know they are a pain to replace.

Thanks

That's the park circuit. Replace the motor.

Mine will park, if I screw around with the switch.  Which leads me to think switch.  the motor is easier to replace.  I downloaded an article on how to check it out.  I'll get around to it soon.

It's probably the motor.

Vile, would the motor also affect the delay?  It seems to have one delay setting - long.

i know on my 94 the problem was the circut board i also had a mid 90's work truck that i would have to tap the motor/ circut board with a tool to get them to work. that don't help you out any i know but i would find the modular under the dash and give it a tap then try to tap the motor and see if one helps doubt it will but its a little help maybe here are some more post on this also
