Is that a typo or do you not have the money for a rebuild?  ??? If you have the $ to rebuild the 700R4 go that route. You'll appreciate overdrive.

I think he is saying he does not have money to rebuild the 700r4 right now. If he wants to sell it I'm interested.

I think there is a difference between th 700r4 and the th350, but i'm pretty sure that the th350 and the th400 are the same. Vile, is there a difference in the mounting points of the 700r4 and the th350?

The mounting would be a little different on the th350. There's a chance the th350 has long tailshaft and wouldn't require a driveshaft mod. In the end, it might be cheaper to just rebuild the 700r4 on your own then to move the th350 in it.

85MudMonster do you need a trans?

You will need an adapter to your transfer case

the driveshaft should be reusable right ive just seen the adapter kit on line it comes with a new dipstick tube, detent cable and such.hopefully i can swap out hte trannys soon(weather permitting) and have the 700r4 rebuilt over the summer so ican can give the 350 in my burban a little refreshing and install both hopefully by august.

My truck needs many things, I need a new transfer case so I can actually put it into 4WD. I'd like to have a 700r4 so that I can have overdrive for the interstate. I'd like to put a manual in it but I ain't got that kind of time (patience) or money
