89 front panel
« on: June 02, 2009, 03:19:52 pm »
Right Guys, picked up an 89 front panel and grill the other day,
Using the pic below as a reference, am I correct in thinking.....

-the top right is the dip beam and main beam?
-the top left is the main beam only?
-bottom right is sidelight/running light?
-bottom left is the turn signal?

Need to know if I'm right for wiring purposes???

outers are low and inners are high. the bottoms i wired up to my liking. on the lower parking light lense i only used the outer most bulb for my truck. why, well it would look retarded if i had to lit bulbs and only one lit headlight per side. so basicaly it functions as an original 87, and the inner parking light hole is not used..

Thanks for that information.

I've had to order some new headlights, the one on the left is the new one and doesn't have the black surround like the one on the old one to the right.... the black surround holds the light in place on my front end with those open ended clips (one up top and one to the right), is this the right part because the guy in the shop says this is the ONLY headlight listed for an 89 crew cab front end.....

Also.... If I wanted to put an 85 - 87 grill onto my truck, with dual headlights (stacked one above the other) will my front panel (off an 89 Crew Cab with dual side by side headlights) work with that set up??

Thanks, Joe

Your H4 headlight should have a replaceable bulb in it where as you picked up a sealed beam.

Take the 4 screws out holding the headlight in. Then you should be able to see it.
