Headlight Conversion
«

I know this has been asked before but............has anyone ever located the needed information (parts list) for a single headlight conversion on the 89-91 blazer front ends? From what I found on the forums no one has ever given a definite answer on how to do this conversion but say Chevy Celebrity lights will work. Currently I have the 89-91 blazer front end on my 85 C10. I saw a nice 82 tonight the was two tone metallic baby blue and white that had this type of conversion, apparently he must have bought the truck like that because he had not idea what lights they were. I like the look plus the light give off will be brighter. Ideas? Thanks

Check the how to section, there is a big how to article there on what you want to do. Im sure it lists all the parts needed. Maybe someone has that link? Remember BigBow?

I'm not following what you are trying to do.
You want to change from the compsite lights to a sealed beam?

No, I seen an 82 C10 this past weekend that had the conversion from sealed to composites done but unfortunately the guy didn't know what headlight housings were used. I keep reading that Composites from a Chevy Celebrity will work but can not verify what parts to use or whether its even possible to use Celebrity lights. I want to go to a one piece headlight housing (composite) with both low and high beam in one.

Trust me I DO NOT what the one piece SEALED BEAM look.....I want the one piece COMPOSITE headlight that en-houses the high and low beam. Like the ones found on the 90up Chevy Trucks. I read here on a forum here somewhere that the Chevy Celebrity Composite Headlights will work but have not been able to confirm that. Currently I do have the front end as on the Black/Silver Burban above and again want the COMPOSITE setup that has both the high and low beam within it, like the pic of the red truck above.

If you are talking about a the lights out of something like a... 1992 chevy truck, for example, i have never seen that done. I would be interested to see any pics of that.

EXACTLY!!!!!! Like I said I seen this on a Nice looking truck this past Sunday but the guy did not know what housings were used. I heard about the Chevy Celebrity composites but do not know how to go about installing them. You guys have never seen this done before? I saw a couple of the old forums on this site that mentioned the Chevy truck lights and the celebrity lights.

The is no write-up for it. Most use the 89 Celebrity headlights that I have seen, BUT, I think they are too big. With some fab work you can make a set of 88-99's fit I have seen it done.

Hey there's always a first time...........I will give this a try and document every step of the install that way there will be a write up on it for fellow square body truckers both High and Low!!!!!!! One question......you said you seen this done with 88-99 I'm assuming you meant Chevy Trucks? Right?
