Anything from 81-86 C series and 87-91 R series will bolt in.
SOME 81's had 12bolts, so verify first.

Rusty, what are you looking at doing- getting a used set of ring and pinions? I hope not. Maybe I misunderstood your post.

no, my rear needs to get rebuilt. pinion seal is leaking. i was going to try to find something in the junk yard. i might be better off just having mine rebuilt. you never know what you will get from the junk yard.. bye the way this was probably asked before. but what is the stock gear ratio for corp 10 bolt 8.5in.

3.08:1, 3.42:1 and 3.73:1 were the most common 10 bolt ratio's
Why replace the rear end over a leaking pinion seal that'll cost you $5 bucks?

Yeah, what he said. I just did mine about a month ago. You'll need a big socket for that "big nut".

A big impact gun to go with the big socket helps allot too!

After you mark the nut and the housing as a reference point, count the turns as you back off the nut. After you replace the seal spin the nut back on the same amount of turns. This should help avoid over tightening the crush sleeve.
