pipes after headers

Ok , iv got a 305 and i need to put some pipes on it and  im thinking im goina use these headers http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G9006-9/ but what should i do after that i have a 85 4x4 4speed with granny low that im liftin later this winter probly with a rough country 4" sup lift http://www.roughcountry.com/chevy_4wd_77-87_4.html could i use a  h pipe i have no state tests i have to go through so my opitions are open ........im not wanting to wake the naborhood up when i leave but ............if i wanted to hear my pipes at any time i want to b able to ......... so im goina leave this open for ideas

i just whent to the 28th Annual O'Reilly Auto Parts Fall 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals it was SWEET 4-wheel drive mag was there and i bought a set of headmen headers 4 my 305 nothing fancy just black painted,ups should have them at my house by thursday , mufler shop wants 450 to install them and run stanless 2.5 pipes  and flowmaster  muflers   ,is that a good deal?

You should get the headers coated or they're gonna rust quick. You shoulda gone with the coated ones to begin with. $450 is a good price. The X pipe kit is a nice option too.

Ill never run uncoated headers again. Well worth the money. $450 installed definately sounds like a good deal. The x-pipe kit is the way Id go, but Id also prefer to install my own headers. That way I know its right.

coated ? with what ?........and i was under the impresion the x kit didnt work on the 4x4?   how dose the kit come out the rear?

sorry our kit doesn't work on 4x4s.  I just posted that for a comparison.

I would get coated headers also.  Being some type of ceramic/barrier coating.

what if i sprayed them with high heet paint wouldent that keep them from rusting out ?

for about a month maybe. You can still have them ceramic coated. Check for local coating businesses. I saved enough in spark plug wires, to pay for the coating,
