I meant that the flanges are cut. Does that help resist warping and leaking header gaskets?

as far as the header flange goes i did the same thing and put the stock gaskets on and it works way better than the alumminum ones and the soft seal ones. So far it has been 4 years on the truck and 10 on the chevelle

Nice truck and great to see you getting your hands dirty in the process,i cant get my other half anywhere near my truck, she said i lifted my old blazer because i knew she was too short to get in.. ;D

Another point i like about this thread, not once have you been subjected to any "male chauvinism" which i think sums up what a good friendly family orientated site this is..keep up the good work.

My Truck Is Runnin
« Reply #95 on: April 02, 2010, 01:07:38 pm »
Well, my truck has been runnin for a couple weeks now. It sounds good and strong with that cam in there, I'm in need of new, louder exhaust though, LOL. It's too quiet for me. But here are some recent pics. This weekend I am getting a fleetside bed that is rust free and primer black w/ a roll in bed liner. Trading my stepside for it. Then my truck will go flat black as well to match it. I am excited!

The truck has like 18 in glasspacks and then dumped. It doesn't sound bad when you rev it up, but I want it louder, LOL I don't know if it will see any mud, the place we used to go is shut down now, so if I find somewhere I will prolly take it trailin, but not dog it too bad. haha. Thanks guys!  ;D

Definitely need to change up that exhaust. It almost sounded like straight pipes. Any thoughts on what you want to put on there? When you get the new bed, ever thought of making it match the cab instead? I do like the color on the cab.

That red cable dropping into the passenger side header, that wont melt from the header, will it? Looks dangerous.
