I just picked up my truck, and i wanna be able to clear at least 36's. ive looked into roughcountry lift kits, and sky jacker and so on. but ive also had people tell me to just throw leaf springs in it, or flip my shackles. i dont understand what alotta it means. and i was curious on what the best way to do it would be?

6" spring lift is the way to go.

how much is that gonna cost you figure? and what exactly is it?

Probably around $1400 bucks but it's a lot cheaper if you use rear blocks....

I would say that the 6" kit for $445 would have blocks in the rear.
Does the kit include Shocks and a steering arm?
Like Vile said, shop around but don't be mislead by a cheap price.

Says it includes:

Front: Lifted leaf springs, raised steering arm, brake line relocation brackets, u-bolts, and hardware.

Rear: 4" lift blocks, add-a-leafs, u-bolts, and hardware.

Shocks: Includes (4) RC Hydro 8000 series shocks.

so is that lift worth the money then? i mean what else do i need, am i gonna need a steering stabalizer or sway bar drop bracket or anything else. wut about extended brake lines? im not to sure about this stuff. still pickin it all up lol

yes its the basic lift but you want your sway bar you have to get the drop kit or make your own. also if you don't have one you might want a Steering Stabilizer or dual it and don't forget about the extended brake lines. back when i got mine 6" all springs and every option it was only about 1k, but you should at least get the Recommended Accessories up too the upgraded shocks after that you will need bushings for the shocks and if you want dust covers for the shocks. oh and new bolts for everything cause i can almost bet the spring bolts well ain't going to come out easy and save your hardware you take off ex. the metal sleeves that come off the shocks cause they want you to reuse them along with all your bolts

I'd get the sway bar drop,single stabalizer,F/R brake lines, frame support,transfer case drop and the rear springs.
Looks like you can get it all for about $900 plus shipping.

whats the differentce between rear springs or blocks. just the ride comfort isnt it? wont springs just give me a softer better ride aposed to blocks..because i dont really care about ride comfort. i want it as cheap as possible.

depending on the spring, the ride could be better or worse.   i know some arched springs ride like a tank, a flat spring would ride better, and could give better flex.    the blocks are a cheap way out, and a lot of people use them with no problems.   they will make some bad axle hop as a result of the leverage on the axle. 

flip your rear shackles, (from facing up to facing down,  there is a kit by DIY4x that you can buy) that will give you roughly 4" of lift, and then get new springs for the front (4" lift springs).   get the tires on the truck and start cutting the fenders to clear them.   try to keep it as low as possible while still being able to use the big tires.
