I went with a fuel cell after seeing Jeff's write up. I gotta say it looks bad ass! I still have the bed off so when people come over I get a lot of compliments.

Here is a couple pic's of my cell install, not the clean/detailed version of Jeff's (I've allways liked it, NICE Job!) but functionable. I moved the spare tire brace forward for the front crossmember. Lorne

The one thing i dislike about our trucks is putting gas in them.   Slow filling, you have to hold the lever or go on the slowest speed possible.  I feel pretty good if I can get a couple of bucks in before it shuts off.  That is why i moved my filler to the fender well in the bed.  Also, GM should have learned from F**d and put both fillers on the same side!!

For me, the biggest reason was the weight was now moved behind the rear axle to improve traction. The way the cell is made (sump in the rear, lower area, the gas HAS to get to the pump under launch. Mine was under under/right behind the driver, the pass. side will have still been bad, but not as bad as where it was. Originally I had trouble with the gas all going toward to back of the long tank away from the pickup tube on the launch, a longer tube toward the rear area fixed the stumble (from the fuel not getting to the carb), but I ended up moving it anyway for the weight placement.   
 As for being a pain, not really much different than before...One benefit is that I can be on either side (not having to turn around) & still pump gas. Lorne
