Just got a bead on a set of buckets from an 88 suburban. Should work out good. What are the differences between the buckets in an 88 'burb and the 89-91 seats? Everyone seems to think the 89-91s are the best.

I had a cloth bench seat from a 93 Silverado in my 1987 R10 Silverado.  I loved it.  It was matching blue and looked great.  It was firm but comfortable.  I was able to swap the seat tracks from the 87 to the 93 seat.  I wish I could find a red one for my 82 c20.

Nothing, all Suburban buckets were the same from the time they were introduced in 1984 until 1991.  They have armrests built in..

These look pretty close to what mountaindrew had posted:

This company (RCA International) also sells these on eBay and they list them specifically for 73-87 Chevy's though I bet they are generic aftermarkets:

Man the prices on those things make me glad I paid $75 for mine and recovered them myself. A thousand dollars for some seats. Too rich for my blood.

Yeah, good seats can be had for a lot less than a grand. You just have to be patient and willing to roll up your sleeves a little.  Plus, nothing beats OEM for fit.
