What kind of truck? 3/4ton? 1/2ton?
There are two tools needed, duct tape and WD40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD 40.

They typically are close.  If they don't hit you are probably fine...

What if any is the backspacing of the rims ?

How close are they?  I'd be fine with 1/4"  .

You got steel or aluminum wheels?   I don't know the answer but maybe somebody else will chime in, I would say that would be fine AS LONG AS the wheels never ever flexed.   But they will flex some and i don't know which (aluminum or steel) would flex more, or if it would even be a problem.  I would assume it't a problem until told otherwise.  If it was me, I wouldn't like it just because I don't know about the wheels.

Why don't you actually look to see what's rubbing and where by jacking it up and spinning the wheel? All anyone can do here is guess. Wheel weight? Wasted wheel bearing? Caliper falling off? etc etc

Is this truck or the wheels new to you?  I'm just wondering whether its the geometry of your wheels or some other problem.  It can be close without ever touching if everything is pretty tight.  I had an occassion once where bad ball joints turned a close fit with an aluminum wheel to scraping and gouging when the wheels were turned.  Is it equally close on both sides?  Would a wheel spacer get it out of the way?

What kind of wheels are they?  Factory, aftermarket?  If they are hitting, what are they hitting the actual rim?
You won't need "bigger" wheels, you need wheels with better spacing on them.

Where did they come from?

yeah the truck and rims are all new to me they are micky thompson rims the tires are 35x12.5x15 so im guessing the rims are 12.5 deep i dont know if wheel spacers would work or not i have two that spacers that came off my minitruck i had im sure if they will work i will try and see. i dont like them cause i hear alot of bad stories about them falling off while driving so they kind of worry me but its worth a try...thanks for your help...
