The forum has said a lot of good things about this guy, http://www.smicarburetor.com/products/sfID1/28/sfID2/9/sfID3/32/productID/18. I have never used a carb he sells but I am going to in the future when I do an engine swap.  He seems to have a pretty good reputation around here.  I don't know if you want to drop over $300 into a 305 but you aren't going to beat the MPG's of a Quardajet if you go to a Holley.  The Q jet is one good carb.  I believe the carb you have listed is a Quardajet so yeah it's a four barrel.  Just wondering why you want a new car also? Why not just rebuild yours.

That's a four barrel.

Looks like it's computer controlled too.

I did a search on one of the companies that sells remanufactured carbs and that is an E4ME quadrajet 4 barrel.  Used electronics to control the mixture more closely for emissions.  That carb looks mighty clean I wonder if it is a reman unit that someone put on your truck?  Using adapters you can put just about any carb you want on your intake.

I bough the truck like 3 weeks ago. and the last owner said he rebuild the carb. like 6 months ago. he said, but few days later i checked the paper work where he took the carb. to rebuild and it was last year, around june, and they only give 6 months warranty,so i would have to have someone check it to see if somethig its really wrong with the carb. one of the mechanics said that it was wasting to much gas or something like that... the problem with the truck and that it wont run fast how it suppost to... it seens that it takes like a minute to get up to 65mhp... if i push the gas and wont take off like a regular truck/car, it will kinda take his time to get up to speed lol ... engine sounds good.everything looks fine thats what mechanic said...so the 2 things i gotta check now its that carb. to see if something its wrong with it and probably change the catalytic to get it smog too...

Sounds like your mechanic is wasting oxygen too. Start with the basics

I took off the carb. today from my truck, i noticed the fuel line had a big kink on line by the fuel filter, also theres few sensors and where the electronic choke connector has a zip tie :) ...

maybe theres nothing wrong with my carb...
