Agreed, Let's see some pix!

These trucks were not easy to make a nice system for. I've found that cutting speakers into the lower doors works well, tweeters in the dash, amp under the seat, speaker boxes behind the seat and you have an ok system but this time I'm gonna try those kick panel speakers, full range speakers in the dash and maybe custom build speakers behind the seats.

I'd like to see some pics myself. I'm at a point where I have a head unit installed, bought a 5 channel amp. Looking to see what I can do. I am going with a custom box w/ 2 10's in back. I just don't know what I want to do with the front.
Maybe some kick panels I really don't want to cut the doors, but that is an option, and try to do something to replace the 4x10's in the back. Hopefully I can make some kind of bracket to adapt some 6.5 2 ways or something.

i have a box with 2 10"s in the back...but it sucks. and once i get buckes i will be fiberglassing a center console to hold them. the amp is under the seat. in front i have 5.25" speakers in the kick panels sold on this site. i will also have 3" in the rear speaker holes. then there will be a dvd monitor fiberglassed into the dash. for the deck, i am gonna be moving some things around since i don't need any of the a/c controls, not sure how that will come out, but it'll have the cd and dvd head units on it

My head unit:

My 4 8" subs in sealed box:

Got my amp mounted under the seat. Everything is not complete. Getting my component mids and highs next weekend. I got my kick panels last week. Just waiting to get the speakers, and put my alarm in next weekend, and it will be finished...
The sub box fits good, and my seat goes all the way back.

I have a soundstream xta600.5 running the subs right now.
I have kick panels, and punch 5.25 components I am putting in this weekend. I also have punch 3.5 in the dash with some bass blockers hooked to the head unit.
It sounds pretty good. When I get the mids and highs in, I'll post some pics of them also.
It should sound even better.
The subs are punch 8" series 1.
I went with the budget amp and subs. I got 2 sets of the punch 5.25 components for $100 brand new. They are a couple of years old, but still new in box.
The dim. on box are....
41"wx14"hx6.5"d(bottom)x3.5"d(top)
The subs sound good, not too bassy, they could use some more power, I have the 5th channel bridged into 2 ohms@240 watts running them.
After I get the kick panels in, I'm making some brackets to mount the other set of mids/highs in the back, I'll post some pics.

Thanks For The info. Been looking to upgrade my 79 and always wondered if 4 subs would fit. Sounds like you are well on your way to a sweet system.

Where did you find those Kick Panels?  They look awesome.  I also like the way you did your door panels and what I could see your carpet.  Do you have more interior pics?  Don't forget to include some of pics of the outside.
