Youll need sm465 tranny but it has tp be 4x4 verison. Youll need bell crank, clutch and brake pedal assemblies, fly wheel, clutch disk assembly, front and rear drive shafts, transfer case. Your best bet would be to find either a parts truck thats 4x4 4 speed to get your parts off of it, or use that truck and put your engine in it.

why do you want to switch? also to add on you need the whole clutch assembly from the pedal inside the cab to the fork brackets also

I listed that, Irish. The bell crank is the pivot rod that goes between the bell housing and the frame, and the rod that moves the bell crank I think is part of the pedal assembly. And, I personally would rather have a manual off road. More control over power and what not but, im not sure why he wants the swap.

Ah, no worries. Oh, and the tranny crossmember may need to be moved since the SM465 is short. And you might want a new steering collumn without the shifter for the auto. And you will have to have a high hump tranny tunnel and will have to cut a hole out of it, or replace it with one from a manual truck.

Yes, drive shafts will be different lengths though, so youll need drive shafts.

just a new rear shaft or you might get lucky and your old might fit or close enough to get cut down

Be aware that if you can find parts from an 85+ it will have a hydrualic clutch linkage. I've done somewhat similar swaps; just be sure you have the right parts and go in with a plan and you will be surprised at how easy and fast it goes. btw to hang a new pedal assembly you will need to remove the steering column so this would be a good time to get one for a m/t truck.
