Threw on some new plugs and wires.  Changed the exhaust manifold to a non egr one and got the egr plug in the intake welded shut.

Got the exhaust shortened and welded up

Will you be taking advantage of the ABS, etc.?

Thanks VZ

I haven't decided about the abs yet. We'll see about it once i get to the wiring. I haven't really looked at the diagrams yet but I think all it needs is wheel speed inputs and power and maybe serial data to talk to the PCM so it should be real do-able. Other than that only other thing ill be using from the 02 is the t-case module and buttons for the elec shift t-case. I going to mount the buttons in the 02 overhead console and put it in there that way. I was going to hook up the "firm" button for the shocks but I smashed the connector off the top of one of the shocks when putting the front clip on by myself so I said screw it. I didn't see why I would use it anyways plus the shocks are old and have 200k miles so who knows if they still work any more.

Anyways tonight i got the power steering lines and cooler put on. It took a little re bending but they fit pretty nice. Also got the steering shaft made and installed. It is the lower half of the 02 shaft welded to another shaft I had layin around. Dodge ram or jeep I think. Either way it worked out

I think I'm going to have to trim the back side of the grille to clear that trans cooler and ps cooler

My to do list is getting checked off slowly.

Also got the 02 brake lines hooked up to a new 82 master cylinder as you can see in the pics. One was the same thread and went right on. The other was too small but was the same size line as the 82 so I cut the end off the 82 lines to get the nut with the right threads and flared it back on there and that's done

You made that look easy! What are you using for the fuse box/wiring?

Yeah just like the tv shows lol. Not really.  I have a cpw universal fusebox and I'm using the original harness on the 5.3 and all the original wiring that goes back to the fuel pump and everything. The only thing I haven't decided on is the speedometer whether I'm gonna just get a GPS or try and use the cable x box to make the stock one work.

How about a VSS powered speedo from a 90-91 Suburban/Crew Cab/Blazer?

http://www.abbott-tach.com/cablex.htm

I didn't known 90-91s were electronics.  I'll have to check into that. Thanks man

I know what you mean about acronyms lol I work at the railroad and they have a dang acronym for everything

Tonight i got the condenser and radiator mounted up and made a new liquid line and changed the fittings around on the 2002 dryer so that I could use it. Not much fab work to do under the hood. I'll probably start on the wiring pretty soon

Got the remote start / keyless entry in today.  I'm alteady having nightmares about wires lol

I found this. Looks like it will work fine.  Just got to find one now...

I've done a 5.3 4l60e conversion and got everything to work. cruise control, and speedo. the cruise control is mearly 4 wires from the switch, and 3 wires for the speedo. speedo has vss input (from the computer) power and ground. The cruise control you will have to compare the cruise control switches together. I'd bet they have the same control functions, but just to be sure. mine was chevy to chevy so I figured it would work, and  it did.
