I just made one box for a 10 inch. It has .862 volume inside. Anyone Wanna guess the size? Will say this it fits behind the seat (seat all the way back) with An inch out more space between. The box and seat.

What's under the hood??? If you have to ask maybe we shouldn't race...

Two 12" subs would be tough, at least if you got beefy ones and not something cheesy.

Why the spec for two 12" subwoofers?  Do you want the size or the performance?

I put an ultra slim 8' powered subwoofer in the truck and love it.  I have a write-up in this sub-forum about the install.

Depending on your budget, you could use a couple of these, or a 10" super slim, or even a pair of 10".  They run right off the head unit.

hop over to my build thread. ive got two 12 inch subs behind my seat right now. They are shallow mount ones from a home theater system i snagged off a buddy. also go in the search box and type in sub woofer and you will see another thread from me and it has two or three different kinds of shallow mounts subs that will fit in our truck.

im probably going to go with the pioneer 12inch shallow pre loaded enclosure for my next upgrade.

Do you mind not having the seats all the way back? The main things of concern are having the proper air space in front of the woofer and the correct cubic ft. Inside volume for the woofer to perform like it was designed.

What's under the hood??? If you have to ask maybe we shouldn't race...

You might be able to get a pair of these in.  Might have to round the corners a bit, or take off the carpet where they meet in the middle to get them in between the curves of the cab corners.

Nooooo worries :-).
I used this sub box calculator to get the volume I wanted.
http://www.bcae1.com/spboxnew2.htm  my box measures top depth 3in, bottom depth 7.5in, width is 56in., Back height of 15in.
I choose this sub

Should have a good out put with my kicker amp... IM thinking of cutting the material on the back of the seat to allow more air flow. Everyone knows speakers need air space :-)

The size and cubic in volume of my box will give you Ann idea of why I chose a 10 and not a twelve or two 10s/ 12s. I wanted my seat all the way back for space and comfort. Try building the correct box size (typically 1.25 cubic in. Sealed box) if you can slide the seat back all the way I'll get the same setup :-)

I know I'm a little late to the party but, if you're still considering 12's, look at the Alpine type E subs. The mounting depth is 5" and recommended box size is .65 - 1.0 cubic feet. I have one in my daily driver which is an f150 super crew and it sounds awesome.  I was able to build a custom box to fit under the rear seat in my f150 and it fits behind the seat of '80 high sierra. I had the old type e and the depth on it was 8 1/4" so look for the black cone, not white.
