will they work...

hello, I wanting to know if they're will be any alignment issues if I swapped my 56" rear leaf springs for some 52" 1/2 ton springs. (I know the shackles have to be moved) Do 52" & 56" springs have the same center bolt distance?Basically, when I put these 52" inch springs on my C20, the center bolt in the leaf pack should fall right in place on the perch of the axle. Wanting to know if it will all align right. thankyou

Why? What are you trying to acheive by doing this besides allot of needless labor and effort? If you want less load carrying ability just take out one leaf from your current leaf pack.

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Your reply does not help me blazin. Your asking me a question and making a suggestion. My question is posted above. So, can someone tell me if this swap will work, without criticism preferably.
                                     thanks

MarkZepp Take a chill pill man. He wasn't saying it the way you took it just trying to better understand what and why you are doing better. If you want good advice provide good detail. So elaborate on what you are trying to accomplish a little more please.

These leafs are stacked progressively from the main leaf and a spring with a larger arc will be longer. They are interchangable but will change your ride height and load capacity obviously. If you change the shackles that will also change your ride height.

Yes, you can do that with little or no issues unless you consider your right height will drop along with the carrying capacity.

Is it possible, yes.

Great, thanks roundedline. I currently have 1/2 ton coil springs in the front. I removed 4 out of the 9 leafs in the back, to even out the height. (I did this a couple years ago). The rear is slowly sagging as the months go by, so thats why I want stock 1/2 ton spring packs to install in my truck. I'm not gonna use 3/4 ton leafs cause that would make my truck look rediculus.(an extreme RAKE look) Lowering my truck a little bit with these 1/2 ton suspension componets, makes it look better. I don't like the way 3/4 tons sit. Anywase...I don't make good use to the heavy duty suspension. thanks
