Thanks bbm3 I appreciate it. The name of the shop is burts auto supply and machine. It's in the springs.
What are you planning to do ?

Thanks for the reply and the referral to Burt.
Your truck is awesome.

My project is simple compared to yours.
My plan is to make my '75 K10 as close to "as built" without breaking the bank.

Simple Goal...
When I am done I will be happy if I can drive it from Monument to Woodland Park through the Pike National Forest.

I know not a huge goal but I have to start somewhere.

Congratulations.
Don't forget you need a working cooling system too.  ;)

Thankyou.. Lol finally... Oh most definitely... Tomorrow I'm going to be working tying up the loose ends.... There are still things to do. Plenty in fact... Just amazing to hear it running.... My right ear I can still feel it, an hour ago running the motor , that motor is loud... Chick magnet or cop magnet ? Lol jk hopefully neither....

Hopefully loud as in exhaust.
Not screeching pistons, knocking rods, clashing valves, and spinning bearings.
Those other non exhaust related sounds will be yours soon without a working cooling system.

Sorry I couldn't help myself.

Congrats on your first start!

Yes loud as in exhaust lol, I won't be starting it again and running it until it's all hooked up, then flush the fuel tank , replace hoses, fill with fuel, then go through the break in procedure... Truck took 10 quarts of oil...

Nice engine. It sounded really good. I am glad it is finally in and you posted a video of it running. Now get the radiator and fans hooked up and get it dialed in! You will be driving it in no time.
