Crew Cab Cummins
« on: October 28, 2014, 06:30:22 PM »
Well I sold the one in my avatar before I was able to get the Cummins installed, but I can't seem to stay away from these square bodies for very long. So after a short stint with a new 4th Gen Dodge. I am now back in the truck below. I bought it a couple of weeks ago in Flint MI. It already has a 12 valve in it. I have already swapped out the tires and wheels. I'm going to cut it down to a SWB, new interior and paint will take place over the winter.

Step 1 in making it a shortbed, is to remove the long one.........

No don't do it! In my opinion long beds look way better on crew cabs if they are a 3/4 or 1 tons. Only 1/2 tons look good with short beds.

i lucked out took me half a year  of searching and paying too much for a rust bucket. we ended up having a auction at the state fair grounds its only a couple miles away. with in 4 minutes away. buddy told me it was a 90s 4x4, went and looked at it it was delivered to the airforce in 91. so it had the 4l80e/205 srw with 26k miles. knew it was going to go for 3k. i had 4 but when the bidding started let it drop to 1k then bid and only one other guy was bidding it ended up going for $1800. have a cummins now and stand alone computer for the trans. so now all i need is time. do want a short bed and cab and chassis rear for her also
