79 c20 turn singals
« on: March 18, 2015, 12:56:43 am »
so i have a 79 c20 and im having problems with the turn signals. whenever i pull the lever for left or right the front indicators work fine but the back lights trigger the hazards whenever i turn for left or right? any ideas? could it be blown out fuses or the actual lever itself

so when you turn on the left or right both sides light up on the rear almost like you have hazards on?

i would think a ground but normally a bad ground will cause more problems than just one bulb screwing up. when you put the turn signals on do you have brake lights? how bout running lights?

You going to have to trace the wires something is getting crossed up.  What happens when you turn on the hazzards?

It should be on the passenger side of the steering column, behind and below the key.

A lot of this is run thru. The turn signal controller
The white doughnut looking deal the lever screws in

I'd replace that first
Its about $25 at any auto parts store

Next I'd replace the bulbs and double check the wiring
See if you're getting power to the light socket
