I go to fill the right or left tanks, & I'm always running gas on the ground! Is there a way to solve this problem?

you mean there is a leak?
or you mean they are overflowing because the pump doesnt kick off when they get full like it does with newer cars?
if its this one then turn the ignition on and watch the gas gauge go up. just dont fill it so fast that the gauge cant keep up
but this is all if you can see the gauge. if you have a topper or a lift or something this might not be possible

Try fueling up while everything is at it's coolest. Weather and vehicle. I think they all have a learning curve where they except it best.
My 85', excepts fuel best, with nozzle hanging 3/4 out of opening, catching the last ring on the nozzle spring.....Had 1 truck....... only take fuel w/a hard left angle on nozzle.

The right tank works best with nozzle at 3:00, the left tank at 9:00, then on both go slow! My 1973 C20 never had problems like this truck! There are no leaks, the gas just doesn't want to go down, I hate making a puddle at the gas station.
